Senegal Players Gets Subjected to Heavy Security on US Arrival

(MENAFN) Members of Senegal’s national football team were reportedly subjected to heightened security procedures after arriving in the United States for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to footage that circulated widely on social media.

According to reports, the video was posted on US social media platform X by football journalist Micky Jnr and appears to capture members of the Senegal squad shortly after landing in the country.

The footage shows players wearing team apparel standing beside their luggage on the airport tarmac before entering the terminal, while security personnel carried out what appeared to be detailed inspection procedures.

In one segment of the video, a player can be seen extending his arms as a staff member appears to perform a screening using a hand-held security device.

As of Monday, according to reports, no official comment had been issued by Senegalese football authorities, FIFA, or US officials regarding the footage or the circumstances surrounding the security checks.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, with Senegal among the nations competing in the tournament.
